Something sweet just came to REO Town. For the first time ever, we’re serving hand-scooped ice cream at Saddleback BBQ. It’s been a big change for us, and it all started with a simple question: what else can we offer the neighborhood we love?

Why Ice Cream?

REO Town is where our journey began. It’s always been more than just a location. It’s a community. As we looked around, we realized there was something missing. Families were walking by after dinner, couples were out enjoying the neighborhood, and there wasn’t a local spot to grab a scoop of ice cream. So we decided to change that.

We saw a chance to bring something fun, family-friendly, and high-quality to the area. Ice cream felt like the perfect fit.

How We Did It

This wasn’t a quick change. We temporarily closed our REO Town location to renovate the space and create room for a full-service ice cream counter. We brought in new equipment, updated the layout, and trained our team to serve ice cream the right way.

We partnered with MOO-ville Creamery, a family-owned Michigan dairy known for its rich, high-butterfat ice cream made with real ingredients. Choosing a local partner that values quality and community was important to us.

What’s New

You’ll still find all your BBQ favorites at Saddleback. The kitchen is open from 11 AM to 7 PM every day. But now, from 11 AM to 9 PM, you can also stop by for ice cream.

We’re serving 12 flavors of MOO-ville Ice Cream, including:

  • Blue Moon

  • Butter Pecan

  • Chocolate Blue Ribbon

  • Chocolate Moose Tracks

  • Cookie Dough

  • Mackinaw Island Fudge

  • Mint Chip

  • Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

  • Sea Monster

  • Sorta Sweet Sorta Beth Dutton

  • Supercow

  • Vanilla

You can order in a cup or cone, grab a scoop after dinner, or make it the main reason for your visit. It’s a great new option for families, date nights, or anyone strolling through the neighborhood.

A Sweet Addition to the Neighborhood
