Ingredients
- Full rack of baby back ribs (3lbs)
- 1 yellow onion
- 12 oz Saddleback BBQ Sweet and Savory Barbecue Sauce
- Scallions
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup salt
- 1/8 cup chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- .5 tablespoon granulated garlic
- .5 tablespoon onion powder
Instructions
- Mix all dry spices together in a bowl. Set aside
- Dice yellow onion and put in crockpot.
- Remove skin off of the underside of the ribs
- Take the end of a thermometer or dinner knife and insert under the edge of the skin. Using a dry towel, grip the skin tightly and pull back the skin. It should all remove in one full swipe

- Season the ribs with dry ingredients covering top and bottom of the ribs.
- Cut Ribs in Quarters so that they comfortably fit in the crock pot.
- Place the ribs bone up in the crockpot so that they are evenly covering the bottom of the dish. If there are two layers, it is fine.
- Cover with 10oz of Saddleback BBQ Sweet and Savory Barbecue Sauce.
- Set on low heat cover and let go for 5 hours or when the internal rib temperature reaches 198 degrees.
- Once the desired time or temperature is met, remove the ribs, and let ribs rest for 5 minutes. Slice the ribs into individual ribs and garnish with scallions and serve.
